What Are Your Favorite Underrated R&B Albums?

There are far too many albums that are overlooked for what`s currently popular, which can be sad as those albums hold far too weight and the quality of the music is off the chain, so I was inspired to create this little post highlight some of my favourite underrated R&B albums and feel free to shares yours.

Sunshine Anderson`s debut album "Your Woman" truly captured her talents fully, from her soulful and powerful vocals on top of a solid production throughout the album, which was largely produced by Mike City and who also wrote most of the song. Together they proved to be a perfect partnership and brought out the best out of each other.

Some of my favorites are "Heard It All Before", "Crazy Love", "Lunch or Dinner", "Letting Down My Guard", "Saved The Day", "Last Night"", "You Do You" and "Where Have You Been".

Tweet`s debut album "Southern Hummingbird" is nothing short of a masterpiece, beautifully produced from start to finish and showcasing layers and layers of her artistry - songwriting as her words are sharp and carry alot of emotion and her angelic and heavenly vocals tie everything up perfectly. The album was heavily produced by Nisan Stewart, Craig, Brockman, Timbaland and Missy Elliott and their influence is heard throughout the album.

Some of my favorites are "Oops (Oh My)","Smoking Cigarettes", "My Place", "Complain", "Heaven", "Motel", "Beautiful" and the haunting "Drunk" which sees her at her rawest and open, I love the transparency and honesty on this song.

Teedra Moses` debut album "Complex Simplicity" is another album that has stood the test of time and is masterpiece, while it did actually set the charts on fire due to label issues but it gained it critical acclaim and touched alot of people around the world, due to the beautiful material she offered on this album.

"Complex Simplicity" saw her displaying her stunning soulful vocals and her direct songwriting as she cuts through all the mess and gets to the core of her music, showcasing her rawness. Standout tracks for me are "Caution", "No More Tears", "Rescue Me", "Backstroke" and "Caught Up".
