Christina Milian has released her newest single called "Rebel," which is her first official offering in nine years after her last studio effort “So Amazin’“, the single serves as the leading single lifted from her her upcoming album on Young Money/Cash Money Records.
“Rebel is a song about awesome, passionate love.. Chemistry!""The type where nothing else in the world matters but that bond and understanding y’all got. And you’re practically rebelling.” she explains about the song.
The smooth-slow jam was produced by production team Silent Killers, it finds her singing about making love to her man: "As long as we know what’s up, what’s up, what’s up / There’s nothing left to discuss, boy / Let’s f*ck, it’s just us,”
Like I said in my previous post I no longer see it for Milian and she is not proofing me wrong on this track, while the production is tight and has a great old school vibe to it, her vocals poorly displayed throughout this song as she uses a great amount of auto-tune which overshadows her real vocal talents. And it finds her once again following current trends and not perfecting her sounds, showing a lack of artistic creativity and a lack of depth.
