Hot Tracks Of The Week: Ciara, Meghan Trainor And More

Ciara made her return on the music scene with releasing her newest single called "I Bet" which serves as the leading single lifted from her forthcoming sixth album titled "Jackie" which slated to be released sometime this year.

The R&B ballad was produced by Harmony Samuels and she co-wrote it with Theron Thomas of Rock City who also did some ad-libs kinda playing a fake Future, which worked amazingly well with the topic at hand. As it finds she singing about a lover who took her love for granted and I am pretty sure this is aimed at her ex-fiancé rapper Future: "I bet you start loving me, as soon as I start loving someone else. Somebody better than you, I bet you start needing me, as soon as you see me with someone else. Somebody other than you...." she sings on the hook and my favorite line is "So you can keep that bitch ova there giving' me the ugly stare,  the one with the silicone ass, and the Brazilian hair? You ain't gon' respect me no no no till I'm not there....."

She displayed some great vocal growth throughout the song even though I feel that she needed to deliver something much harder than this but it`s good single choice.

Vaughn: This track talks about an ex doing you wrong and you still love them but for sure they will regret it. The production on this is full of bass but with a very strong melody which really allows Ciara's vocals to shine. Overall, this is an awesome track I love that it's very relatable and honest.

"Stonemilker" is the strongest track lifted from Bjork`s recently released album "Vulnicura" and it`s also the saddest song she has ever written and it`s very  reminiscent of her song  “All Is Full of Love” as it features a similar production of  an orchestral strings and effects that sets the tone. She sings with so much emotion as she demands"respect" from a lover who's switched the "off" button on their connection: “Show me emotional respect , I have emotional needs,” this is what we call musical art she makes you feel every word and experience the pain she is going through.

Vaughn: This track speaks on trying to get someone to see what you feel and experience the pain you feel. The production is stellar from start to finish and her vocals sound amazing. Overall, an awesome track that anyone can relate to and being in this place.

Meghan Trainor is clearly the new face of Pop music as her impact has been refreshing and impressive and she represents a healthy image for all the young girl out here, which is no wonder her single "All About The Bass" topped the charts all over the world and her album "Title" topped the charts as well. It`s a solid album that features a very retro-pop vibe to it and one of my favorite tracks has got to be the beautiful ballad "Like I’m Gonna Lose You" featuring John Legend which proved to be a perfect match, as they sing over a warm guitar production  about knowing how their love won’t last, and holding onto those last moments.

"I'm gonna love you like I'm gonna lose you, I'm gonna hold you, like I'm saying goodbye. Wherever we're standing, I won't take you for granted cause we'll never know when we'll run out of time..."

Vaughn: This tracks speaks on loving someone till your last breath. The production has an old bluesy feel to it their vocals blend so well together and just makes you feel every single word that leaves their lips. Los Angeles native Veronika Bozeman aka V Bozeman captured the hearts of  millions of people when she was featured on FOX Network's brand new show "Empire", where people saw her performing a tear-jerking ballad called “What Is Love” produced by Timbaland who signed her to his record label: "What excites me about V is that she is excitement, there's nobody that you heard of with a tone like her in years. She is a diamond that's been sitting there, and good ol' Timbo discovered it. She's my diamond. And she's the best vocalist, to me, I've seen in years – meaning singing songs that touch your soul. She's amazing. She's groundbreaking."

"What Is Love" is an impeccable introduction to this super talented artist with a very impressive vocal range as she questions the meaning of love without that special someone: "What is love if you're not here with me? What is love if it's not guaranteed? What is love if it just ups and leaves ? What is love if you're not here no more? What is love if you're not really sure? What is love if it just ups and goes?".

She exhibits unique vocal control that sets her sound apart from that of other singers and she expresses herself with so much rawness and realness and I heard some snippets of her album "Music Is My Boyfriend" and I have to say that it sounds freaking amazing and I will surely purchase it once it drops.

Vaughn: This track speaks about losing that person that once meant the world to you. The production is so stripped back and bare it allows V's vocals to really shine through which are beyond amazing. Overall, this track really is just outstanding it just leaves you speechless.

It`s no secret that I am not a huge Ne-Yo fan, mainly because he has had a hard time transitioning from songwriter to artist as most of his music sound like demos for artist such as Rihanna and Beyonce but I will say that I do like of one of his albums which "Year of the Gentleman" and his recently released album "Non-Fiction" is honestly one of his best albums to date, with a very smooth set of tracks.

"Good Morning/Gon’ Ride" is a sensual and sultry number with a smooth production which creates a great foundation for him to sing about the art of love making, especially in the morning time: "The shower, I follow you and now I got you begging, cause your boss be stressing. You really need to get dressed and go but then I kiss your neck and you melt in my arms. You 'bout to be late no doubt,  I need to hear you scream and shout, I need you to melt in my mouth, I need you to do 3 more hours..."

Vaughn: This track speaks on waking up after a night making some good loving and just wanted to keep it going. The production is very solid and his vocals sound great takes me back to his earlier material. Overall a nice track nothing amazing but much better than most of the material from his last effort.
