Last year we all got excited to see Danity Kane finally coming back on the music scene but things didn`t quite go to plan and the members once again went their separate ways even though their final album “DK3″ managed to get released. The former leading member Dawn Richard went back to her solo career and is gearing up to releasing her sophomore album “Blackheart” that will see the light of day tomorrow (1/15) and has reunited with her Danity Kane sister Aundrea Fimbre on her newest track called “Phoenix”.
The Noisecastle III produced number is a ballad that finds the duo singing over a infectious beat with great dance elements to it , especially towards the end as they sing about redemption: ““You hoped I’d be blind / Didn’t want me to see my star shine…”
Dawn and Aundrea just mesh so well together, no wonder they were the strongest vocalists in DK, their harmonies and solo performances throughout this song were simply amazing. I hope they make this into a single as it could be a huge hit especially on the dance charts.
