British songstress Laura Welsh has unveiled the visual for her newest single "Ghosts" which is lifted from her upcoming debut studio album "Slow Control" which follows up her acclaimed previous singles "Break The Fall", "Cold Front" and "Unravel". The track is a piano number with string and drum elements within the production which creates a great foundation for her to showcase her breathtaking vocals and amazing songwriting, which has me thinking of Adele because this is the kind of material that she would release and the world would go crazy.
Here`s what she had to say about the track: “…Ghosts is on some levels the most personal song on the record. It explores the dark side of a relationship with someone who was very close to me,”“I can sometimes be my own worst enemy so its about learning the lessons from these situations and overcoming them instead of being pulled under. Letting go of the past and being empowered to trust your own instincts to come out the other side stronger…“
Watch the black and white visual for "Ghosts" below and it`s set to be released to iTunes via Outsiders and Polydor on 11 January, a week ahead of the release of her album "Soft Control" due out on the 19th with album contributors include Amanda Ghost (Shakira, Jennifer Lopez), Chris Loco (Kwabs, Becky Hill), Devonte Hynes (Solange, FKA twigs), Scott Hoffman (Chris Brown, Joel Compass) and Ian Dench (Alesha Dixon, Jordin Sparks).
