Showcase Of Beautiful Fashion Illustrators

Fashion illustrators express themselves through their artwork by connecting with the emotions behind their work, displaying a range of different artistic styles to the essence of their work. Various techniques such as mix-media, water color, digital art, multimedia, pencil drawings, etc. In this post, I consolidated 25 beautiful fashion illustrations by 5 amazing illustrators.

Michael Ostermann is a designer based in Vienna, Austria, he is best known for experimenting with numerous styles of illustration in his Flickr-folio including image collages and digital paintings. All of his imagery is colorful, interesting and imaginative.

Caroline Andrieu is a magical fashion illustrator, who`s work is truly outstanding and inspires me with my own illustrations as she creates works of art that I can relate to: "When I choose an image to make an illustration, I always find one that is powerful & beautiful, and I am just trying to recreate what I feel when I see that image: that girl, her hair or her clothes. Because my point of view is involved, that is why sometimes people think I show a different vibe of the collection."

California-based artist Kevin Wada, who has amazing way of combing   pop culture and fashion to create stunning collection of work: "I’ve been drawing since I was about 3, I believe.  I can’t remember a time that I didn’t draw and my parents fostered it completely, probably around the time they realized it wasn’t just a childhood fascination and that there was actually some skill.  Even going into high school they were both supportive of the idea of me pursuing art as a career.  When I got to junior college and had to really think about what part of the giant art realm to try my hand at, I had to narrow down my focus while still exploring.  I knew doing 3D or video media was not my forte so I concentrated on figure drawing, painting, and illustration.  For some reason illustration stuck the most.  I loved the problem solving component to it.

There is freedom in the restrictions that are given to you with an illustration prompt.  Your Art Director says, “here, take these size restrictions and these mandatory features and make a piece and make sure you use lots of this color and I want at least one baby in it,” and you run with it.  Somehow, you have to make a compelling image.  And I don’t do illustration in that more traditional sense as much these days, but that was definitely the initial draw."

Santiago based illustrator Fab Ciraolo illustrates pop icons, models and superheroes and gives them a beautifully modern and fashionable twist, I find the use of colour in his work creates a very poetic and sensitive atmosphere: "Doing what I do gives me the freedom to say what I want and how I want. I can express myself with no worries about what people will think,""This is what I love the most about this job. I just do what I love and if other people like it too, it’s even better."

Charmaine Olivia is a San Francisco-based, self-taught artist who creates some of the most amazing works of art that are beautiful, playful, fun and are very poetical. Her artworks features beautiful women fused with otherworldly aspects ensure that each painting is truly unique and memorable: " I started painting when I was seven. My aunt is an artist and my parents thought it would be a good idea for us to go paint together. At the time, I just wanted to paint mermaids and sea creatures. Thats how I learned to use oils and set up a pallet. If you know the basics on something, its not so scary or intimidating."

"I really admire Picasso a lot. I guess something that always bothered me when I started out about my work is that it was always changing. I looked to other artists and saw their work was consistent and matched, but my work wasn’t like that. I would learn something new and change it up. Thats something that I really enjoy about Picasso's work. It was always changing and he was comfortable with that."
