British singer-songwriter Kymberley Kennedy has recently released her mixtape "Cycles" which follows up her 2013 EP "The Blackout", the project features 12 tracks that showcase her solid vocals and great songwriting skills, here`s what she had to say about it: "With Cycles I’ve mainly written about love, sex, regret and sorrow – all stages a person can go through in relationships and I think a lot of people can identify with that. I wanted to have fun with this record though and let myself go which is how songs like "Enabler" and "Make Me Wanna" came about.
‘Cycles’ starts almost like a relationship – with uncertainty, doubt ‘I Decide’ and moves into more playful realms before reaching the more amorous stage with songs like "I Need Your Lovin’". It ends with the same lingering feelings that you get when you come out of a relationship with the song "Why".
The relationship based mixtape, it`s a very impressive body of work, features musical elements of pop, soul, R&B and electronic. Laced up in sultry vocals over amazing melodies.
