R&B songstress Jazmine Sullivan made her musical return this year with "Dumb" which was a good song but not single worthy material, now she has released her newest single called "Forever Don't Last" serving as the second official single lifted from her forthcoming third album "Reality Show".
"Forever Don't Last" is a stripped-down ballad allows Sullivan to showcase her powerhouse vocals as she sings about a relationship that she tried to save but she has come to accept the reality of the relationship: "Lord knows I gave it my all, I couldn't save us from falling cause some people aren't meant to be together forever. "
"The most personal song is called 'Forever [Don't Last],'" "I'm basically crying on that song. It's a ballad, and that's classic Jazmine. It's a letting-go song which is why it's so personal. I feel like I came to a point in my relationship where [I needed] to let go and move on. I just had to do it." She said during her interview with Billboard .
This is what you call a masterpiece because she painted such realistic image with her words as she addresses a very emotional and relatable topic because as much as we want a save a relationship we have to see it for what it is and let it go and move on to a better and healthier situation. I wish Lauryn Hill jumped on this record because their vocals and energy would blend together so beautifully, displaying so much pain and rawness.
