Okay I`m not a huge fan of reality shows at all because most of them are straight up trash and fakery and honestly I have zero respect for most for them because the lengths that people will go for attention is so disgusting and patheic. Reality shows such as "Love & Hip Hop Atlanta" are at the first line of degrading TV programmers, but I discreet because I did manage to catch the last scene of the final episode mainly because everyone was buzzing about a song and I had to hear it.
Texas singer-songwriter Sarah Jaffe had her hauntingly beautiful song “Don’t Disconnect” featured on there, it`s lifted from her recently released third album and it also serves as the title track. It finds Jaffe singing about heartbreak “Do you still feel me? Don’t disconnect, don’t disconnect yet” she croons against a very delicate production, creating a very airy effect.
It had me reflecting on a situation that happened fives ago that I`ve carried around as emotional baggage, which serves me no good at all. You know as badly as I wanted that person to stay in my life, it was simply not meant to be and I need to let it go and move on to better.
Listen to the track below and you can purchase the album on iTunes.
