New Single: Faith Evans Feat. Missy Elliott And Sharaya J - “I Deserve It”
R&B songstress Faith Evans reunites with Missy Elliott on her newest single “I Deserve It” that Elliott produced with Chucky Thompson and also features on it with her protege Sharaya J. It serves as the lead single lifted Evans’ forthcoming album “Incomparable” due out later this year via Prolific Music / eOne Music.
“It’s a banger..It’s just a banger,”“It’s the perfect embodiment of being able to still maintain what people know you for and the era that you’re from — but not sound dated. That’s the best way I can put it, which is what I try do anyway” - she stated during her interview with Rated RnB.
“I Deserve It” is a soulful mid-tempo number that features a smooth drum-horn driven production that has a great classic 90's R&B sound to it, which creates a great foundation for Evans to showcase her breezy vocals that displays alot of heart and soul, as she sings about looking for love and not settling for anything that`s not worth her: ‘Cause a girl like me it worth it, only want the best because I deserve it, Just hold me down, you ain’t gotta be perfect.”
Mid-way through the song Sharaya enters with a great verse that displays her smooth flow and great wordplay with alot of sass as she states what she wants in a man, Elliott follows her up with a killer verse that displays her legendary flow and her colourful personality as she raps about finally finding a man worth her and how much she loves him. The Ladies came together beautifully on this track and it`s a perfect single choice as the timing is perfect for it and create more anticipation for her new album "Incomparable"
