New Zealand songstress Kimbra has recently revealed the cover of her upcoming second album ‘The Golden Echo’ which is due on 15th August via Warner Bros. Records. Afterward she decided to premiere two songs off the album titled 'Nobody But You' and 'Love in High Places'.
The songs are ten times better than "90`s Music" as we see her laying down some smooth vocals over a mellow production on 'Love In High Places' as she sings about finding love in strange places, giving me Erykah Badu tease with her vocal approach as she is able to paint out a image with her lyrics: "I will be your savior when no one will save you. Be a shining light, going nice. Make you burn all up inside but there’s a space that I’m saving. To keep me strong, there is a place that I’m saving. We can’t stay for long, I will be your loadest. Go slow so you don’t know this. Out of the dead wood, the disease, closer and you’ll find me...."
'Nobody But You' is a soulful - funky mid-tempo number with a powerful bassline and it has a feel good vibe to it as finds her throwing herself into it, displaying fragile vocals as she sings about falling deeply in love with her beau: "Baby, I want nobody but you, cause there ain't nobody who can take all my doubts and turn 'em upside down. Baby, not gon' get me confused I'll come running with my heart open wide, I'm gonna give it all to you this time..."
