New Music: Mara Hruby Releases Her Newest EP “Archaic Rapture”

Mara Hruby has recently released her highly anticipated and emotionally drenched second EP called “Archaic Rapture” which follows up her 2010 debut EP “From My Eyes”, the 6 track EP finds her once again covering old classic songs and actually doing them justice like the original artist did.

Songs such as Julie London`s "Cry Me A River", Frank Sinatra's "In The Wee Small Hours", Barbara Streisand's "My Coloring Book", Ella Fitzgerald`s “Ev'ry Time We Say Goodbye” and Billie Holiday's "Gone With The Wind" are all given fine-tune nods.

She closes the set with an original track called "Set Me Free" which is such a smooth jazzy number that is laced up with a soothing vocal delivery that displays so much confidence. Here`s what she had say about it : “This song represents many things through the voyage of heartbreak. Although filled with painful realities, this song possesses a strength that emanates the golden realization of lessons learned and being "set free" with the power of knowledge gained.”

This EP is the perfect soundtrack for summer nights – where you just lay in bed and let it take you ago. You can listen to it below, if you like what you hear you can purchase it on iTunes.
